Cesenatico is more than just beach and entertainment ...
...it is also art and culture.
The Romagna region offers a broad variety of attractions in this sense; places still steeped in history. In this period, we suggest:The “Seafaring Museum” the only floating museum dedicated to old fishing boats and maritime culture – complete with 3-D animation and video materials.
Do not miss the “Antiquarium” section with its important archaeological artefacts dating back to the Roman age and discovered in the countryside around Cesenatico.“Casa Moretti” the museum housed in the historical home of poet Marino Moretti – visitors perceive the crepuscular atmosphere inside the building and aspects of the poet’s life, the reasons why...”the house knows I am a writer”
Cesenatico and district
Beyond the line of the beaches of Romagna, behind Cesenatico you will find a natural treasure to be discovered. Driving back up the coast towards the hills you can find a wonderful and stimulating countryside.
Valmarecchia and Valle del Rubicone characterised by rolling hills and gentle slopes. These valleys are dotted with paths, antique tracks for nature lovers to discover forts, castles and monasteries in a land rich in history and tradition.
During your holiday at the seaside it will be truly interesting to dedicate a few hours to discover the wonderful territory that surrounds Cesenatico: from Santarcangelo to Torriana and Montebello, from Verucchio to San Leo, but also towards Savignano sul Rubicone and Borghi, Longiano and Roncofreddo or Sogliano. These small towns conceal treasures of art, culture, history and good food.
